"Planta" files for bankruptcy

quote:

Planta has locations across the United States and in Canada, including locations in Florida, Georgia, New York, Illinois, California, Washington, D.C. and Toronto.

quote:

"We believe in the power of plants to change the world. For our health, for the health of our communities, and for the health of our planet — plants are the key." They add, "In everything we do, we seek to understand, experiment with, and maximize the power of plants to nourish, inspire, and sustain."

That's a shame

Americans would rather take a shot that makes you eat less than eat plant based and be healthy

Probably counting on Biden-kamala bucks to sustain them.

I don't deny that plants are very important to our health.

As long as cows and pigs and chickens eat them, they are very important.

Cracks me up to see people get all excited about the fact that it’s non-meat, but there are 10,000 chemicals and all this shite I can’t even pronounce they put into all that fake food, that shite just shaves years off of your life quicker than real red meat

“Plant based” is the new scam just like something being “organic”. It is such a vague and abstract term

Lab-made chemical patties are not safer than cow or pig.

The concept behind this restaurant was stupid from the beginning. For one, there simply are not enough vegans or vegetarians in a given city to keep a plant-based burger restaurant going. And your average person looking to have a burger for lunch or dinner isn’t going to go to a place offering only soy burgers.

I know I'm replying to El Gaucho, but fwiw it had less to do with health of the individual and more to do with the environment, the "sustainable" BS.

Not true. In fact, this is unpossible.

Just no way a meatless hamburger joint could go out of business.

And keep in mind that lots of smelly hippies and progressives love to virtue signal about this type of thing but then they don’t actually support the business in practice. So the business owners probably went all in based on the “that’s a great idea!” finding from their research. You can include “sports bars that show women’s only sports” in that group.

They will virtue signal about it but that is all they will do.

ETA: Why do these people hate and want to kill plants? They’re alive too.
