Let's end dual citizenship

Why?
It's a hack.
It creates dual loyalties
So if anyone doesn't renounce their other citizenship then they automatically lose US citizenship upon reaching 18.
If they accept citizenship benefits from other countries and vote in US elections it's a felony.
Quite a few people would hate this.
It would severely crack down on anchor babies.
Same with the rich who have dual Israeli or Irish citizenship for taxes.
It would stop those immigrants who don't see themselves as Americans, but see themselves as of their home country but want to have the benefits of US citizenship.

I have 3 citizenships
Mexico-born and raised there until age 14 when we moved LEGALLY to the US
Spain-parents are Spanish therefore I get it automatically
US citizen-thru legal migration and the fact that I have lived in the US for 41 years.
I don’t vote in any elections other than the US! I don’t give 2 shits about Mexican or Spanish politicians! I don’t even have a tax # ID for either Spain or Mexico.
I am an American citizen, period….that happens to have 2 more passports!

If you Italian and can establish your heritage back to the relative who immigrated off the boat, then you can establish as an Italian Citizen. You can then move about through all of the EU countries without any hassle.

It won’t happen because of Israel. Plain and simple.
It exists for everyone because they had to since they were allowing American Jews to also be Israeli citizens.
So since the Zionists control our government and we are Israel’s bitch, it won’t change any time soon.

I’ll play devils advocate here then. Why do you need them then? Why not give them up since you don’t use them?
The reality is that you chose to become an American citizen and thus have made a conscious choice for one over the other.

And what would be the point? It’s always a hassle to travel in Europe and dual citizenship doesn’t do much.
If you have business in Europe, it could be helpful since you’d travel there a lot. Otherwise, it’s nonsense.
You can’t be a dual citizen. You are either this or that. Not both.
Also, there was rumor years ago that Italy was trying to lure in wealthy Americans with this non sense and then they were going to hit them with a tax for not just earnings in Italy but in the US too. Talk about a double tax!
It hasn’t happened but there was talk about it.

My ex-GF was the daughter of a US soldier and a German national. Born in Germany.
By German law, she had to choose one or the other at age 18.
And I agree that no dual-citizen should have any role at any level in our government.
Neither should any non-citizen.

I am a dual citizen. Born in Canada to American parents. I am also eligible for German citizenship; just working on the paperwork for it.
