NCAA approves rule changes to combat players faking injuries

I agree with the rule change. If a player is legitimately injured then he should go/stay down immediately. If a player gets injured after the ball is set, tough luck.

The player exits the field on his own power at that point. There’s no reason to kneel down and stop play because you got your bell rung. Getting your bell rung happens all of the time in football. A player knows when he’s had his brain scrambled.

This won't stop the fakes, but will just make them less obvious.
