Agreed.
Also, the US’s success rate in wars after WWII isn’t really something to brag about. Korea and Vietnam went so swimmingly for us… and we just can help ourselves with the Middle East…

Yep. Other than getting rolled by the Germans in WWII, the French have long been some tough SOBs.
Part of the issue there is losing a generation of fighting men in WWI.
We give Europe a lot of shite for being soft, but historically speaking, when they decide they've had enough...they kill everybody.
