They’ll be eating that buyout within 2 years.

Kaiden Salter is pretty damn good.

Lemme add, I don’t think this has everything to do with football on the field. Everywhere you look now when it comes to college football, Colorado is talked about extensively. Regardless of their record. It’s eyeballs and branding. Something Deion is obviously very good at.

With that said, he will be fine until his ex teammates and college football analysts all turn against him.

At least they didn’t garner him 90 million and give a plaque with a blank date for his national title.

Yeah what his hire has accomplished marketing the school is a huge factor.

And the buyout is reasonable at only $6 million during 2027 and down from there.

Seems like a good deal for CU probably buttressed by money from rich GenX alums who lived the McCartney years and have seen recent decades without any presence on the national stage.

They're also switching from natural grass to artificial turf to allow for more event flexibility and the hopes of hosting a CFP game.

What does this have to do with whether or not he deserved the massive contract for accomplishing absolutely nothing other than getting celebrities and former NFL players on the sidelines?

Results aside, I think Colorado can easily see they went from national sports media afterthought to being covered almost daily since he has become their coach. Worth it just in that regard IMO.

The product on the field is only part of the equation.

You're asking what does the fact that people were saying he'll be leaving have to do with him actually not leaving?
