It is a fruit of the spirit to give and be generous but this guy clearly missed that whole "cheerful heart" portion. It's not supposed to be a bully proposition and any church that does this is not teaching generosity the way Christ did.

Honestly I don’t even care about the ushers closing the doors. If I’m there, I can get up, open the door and walk out. It’s not like the usher is going to stop you.
This is more like those dumb high-pressure MLM sales jobs where they keep the doors closed and try to convince people they can’t leave.
