Weirdly, I think being in sort of thick sand helped her a good bit.
The audacity of her to just grab her bags and (I think) pop him on the head when he was trying to eat her bag was astounding. That's an animal that weighs almost a ton and is strong as frick, and you're just casually picking up your bags and acting like it won't kill you in a matter of seconds.
