Serious question, but even if you get pulled over, is this really an issue?

Struggling to imagine a cop writing a citation unless you’re just being a complete arse during a stop.

My license still has my address from my parents house when I was in HS. I haven't lived there since I graduated HS 20 years ago and my parents don't even live there anymore.

I bought the place I currently live at now in 2017. I did go to get my address changed when my license was up for renewal but they needed recent mail from my new address that I didn't have with me, and I wasn't about to go home and come back to wait another hour or two in line so just renewed it with the same address. It renews again next year so I'll probably get it changed then.

I've moved 4 times (in 2 states) in the last 2 years.
just changed my address when I renewed my license on my last birthday.

not a single person anywhere ever questioned me if the address on my license was where I still lived.

Just do that when you get to it, bro. Nobody is going to know the difference.

Now, if you get in a wreck or something like that, you may get a citation. I have never been in too much of a hurry for that kind of bullshite.

Aw, that sucks. We can go to Texas dot gov and change DL, registration, and CHL addresses. All there before COVID, except maybe CHL changes, that was three years ago.

Of course, the people that rented the current house before me haven't managed to do that after a year, so now their car registration receipts and letters demanding child support just go into the circular file.

Make sure they have your social security number or it'll be a real hassle.
