Nebraska child’s name incorrectly listed as 'Unakite Thirteen Hotel'

NBC News: Nebraska father in limbo after daughter’s name incorrectly listed as 'Unakite Thirteen Hotel'
Aside from the kid's name being 'Unakite Thirteen Hotel', this story is kind of a highlight of what I assume is hillbilly meth-culture run amok. Unakite's dad looks like he's at least in his 50's. Meanwhile, her mother (who "faces allegations of neglect and drug problems") immediately gave up custody after giving birth in a house in Iowa.
Just a Nebraska baw in his mid-50's, knocking up broads in "houses" in Iowa.
This is how I imagine Kige will eventually end up.

A Nebraska man is fighting to get a Social Security number and valid birth certificate for his toddler, Caroline — whose name is incorrectly listed in state records as “Unakite Thirteen Hotel.”
Jason Kilburn, who lives outside of Omaha, has been desperately trying to obtain a Social Security card and a useable birth certificate for Caroline. Without these documents, he said, he has been unable to get any services for her, from health insurance to child care, because they all require a Social Security number to verify her identity.
“It’s like she’s a ghost,” Kilburn said in a phone interview Monday. “It’s been very, very taxing.”
Caroline was born in November 2022 in a house just over the state border in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to a mother who immediately handed her over to a Nebraska foster family, Kilburn said. He and Caroline’s mother had dated on and off for several years but were not together when she gave birth, he said, and it was only later that he learned of Caroline’s arrival.
quote:
Once Kilburn took a DNA test proving he was the girl’s father, the juvenile court relinquished custody from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees foster care, to him. The mother, who faces allegations of neglect and drug problems, has no custody rights, an attorney for Kilburn said. Attempts to reach Caroline’s birth mother on Monday were unsuccessful.
As Kilburn tried to gather basic paperwork for his daughter once she was in his custody, he quickly realized that something was wrong: In the exchange between Caroline’s birth mother in Iowa and the foster family in Nebraska, instead of a birth certificate, the girl had received only a certificate of live birth — an unofficial document that hospitals submit to start the process of generating government-issued birth certificates.
Further complicating the matter, the certificate of live birth listed a bizarre name on it: Unakite Thirteen Hotel.
Kilburn said he contacted CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs, the hospital that issued the document, and received little guidance on how to proceed. But he did get a potential explanation for where the name on the document came from.
“I was told it was a computer-generated name,” he said.

didn't we have a poster that claims he doesn't have a SS# for his kid?

Cute little girl. I hope her life goes well and her dad does right by her.

All very unfortunate but this is what I suspect is a problem with the father being unable to be proactive, diligent and committed to following a process until completion. I'd be willing to bet he, like many other members of society these days, has been frustrated with the system and paperwork and just thrown his hands up and expects someone to come to his rescue.

I have no idea what the workers at the local SS office have to deal with but its seems if someone actually gave a shite they would jump on this and get it corrected.

I like that name honestly.

With that name I assumed one of Elon’s dozen or so kids.
Sweet baby girl. I’m glad someone is trying to take care of her at least.

Drugs are destroying the rural white working class.
My great grandparents were country folk but they worked an honest living and would dress up to “go to town” an hour away. Nowadays rural people are strung out on meth.

Honestly, this is the reason we have so many fricked up kids today. Many of them come from mothers who were addicted when they were pregnant for them. He's "autistic". People blame that shite on vaccines.. No.. His momma was an addict when she had him.

My grandfather, born in 1917, had two birth certificates: one filed by his mother and another filed by the doctor. They had different names on them. Wasn't an issue until he retired in the 80s and SSA wanted more information on the issue. Took him a few weeks to get fixed, but had to get the state to void the one the doctor submitted.

This type of problem is why your U.S. congressman has an office in your district. I would camp out at their office until this was fixed.

I think you meant to say globalization and shipping many jobs overseas is destroying the rural working class. Leaving them with little to no hope and turning to drugs to cope.

Sounds like a character in a Vonnegut book, I’d leave it.
