Mexico’s President Threatens More Lawsuits Against U.S. Gunmakers if Cartels Designated as Terrorist Groups

quote:

Mexico’s president, Claudia Sheinbaum, is making clear her country will expand its lawsuit against U.S. gunmakers if the Trump administration designates cartels as terrorists.

The Guardian quoted Sheinbaum saying, “If they declare these criminal groups as terrorists, then we’ll have to expand our US lawsuit.”

Part of the lawsuit expansion “could include alleged complicity of gunmakers with terror groups.”

We may just have to stop recognizing or enforcing Mexican court judgments. I don’t think the Messicans realize how badly Trump can frick them up.

Is this how we finally get that whole government gun running thing unpeeled?

What was that called again? When the ATF was "leaking" guns to mexico?

No standing. If you really want to compare gunmakers to drug lords then you are in the pockets of the cartels and a criminal.

Definitely sounds like the Mexican government is "protecting" the Cartels. Now why would they do that??

Where exactly is it required for US arms makers to sell arms to Mexican residents?

This lady seems nuts, and not in a good way. She has bent the knee repeatedly to date and her demands regularly seem to be divorced from reality

Their number one source of income in that country is money orders sent by Hispanics working off the books in this country. Whether they be legal or illegal. Shut down money orders and any other form of money movement from this country without full review and audit. Let’s see where they stand after that. frickos.

Could be an agreement to look tough so the cartels don't kill her.

Trump's legal team can check the international law on the issue. I think that if a nation-state (Mexico) is unable to suppress an organized criminal enterprise (cartels) that engages in attacks on a neighbor country's sovereignty (USA), the neighbor country may declare Mexico to be a "failed state" and it would be legal under international law to use military force on Mexican national territory to attack the Cartels.

This would not be considered to be an illegal invasion of Mexico because Mexico is a "failed state."

Didn't the US military recently conduct combat activities inside Syria because Syria was unable to suppress the ISIS forces there who were attacking Iraq? This Syria - Iraq event may be analagous to what the USA might be authorized to do inside of Mexico.

If Mexico, as a sovereign state, cannot suppress the Cartels that are attacking the USA, the USA has the OBLIGATION to suppress the Cartels, whereever they find them - on Mexican and/or US soil.

Sometimes Mexico act like a raging latina drunk and high on coke that wants to stab you in the neck with the broken base of a wineglass.

Then she sobers up the next day and is forced to make up with you because her entire economy is based on money order remittances from the US and Papa T got his hand on the spigot.
