Drinking water from a dehumidifier: Yes or No?

We have a small indoor dehumidifier that pulls out 10 gallons from the air over a week’s time.
I was curious and tested the pH and it was slightly acidic, but a lot of fluids we drink run are similarly acidic on the pH scale.
I was thinking about this the other day when we have boil alerts and other water issues. Would this be a safe alternative if needed?
Add in some baking soda to elevate the pH to 7.2 if you’re worried.

I'm going to have to pass on a shot of your week old fart juice.

I mean as a last resort when you are dying I’m sure it’s fine to drink

This.
I’m not saying drink it if you have a safer alternative at hand.

Why would you do this? It's not designed to be used like this, and plenty of options that pull water out of the air use weird salts and other shite to do it.

Absolutely. That is how I wash down my paint chips.

It's not the pH that would really concern me. You got mostly static water with an occasional drip, drip, drip. Take a look at what's deposited under hose bibs, A/C drainage, etc. No thanks. Get a lifestraw or 10 gallons of water at H-E-B for $15 and leave in your garage each year.

It's just water. You'd want to filter and boil it before drinking, so there's not much point in using it in that situation over what's in the tap.

All I drink is water from a dehumidifier set up in the womens locker room at the Y.

The components within the humidifier are not NSF rated. you could had lead components, ect.
safe to use the humidifier water to water your plants.....but wouldnt use it for anything else

How often have you been hard up for water that this has crossed your mind?

I'd be more worried about contaminants than the PH level
