Went into it with no expectations and came away impressed. I thought it was really well done with some original twists. Best horror flick I have seen in a while.
I loved that they kept the lighting really low and no silly music with just the eerie sound effects which really helped build the tension and creepiness.
It did have some typical horror plot holes and the jump scenes were very predictable but all in all it was a very good.

I didn't hate it like some people did, but I wouldn't say that it's a great movie. It's Leigh Whannell's take on the iconic monster, very similar to how he went a different direction with his version of the Invisible Man. He grounded the legend in reality and got away from the supernatural, which I did enjoy. The practical effects were fantastic and I liked how Blake retained most of his humanity through his transformation.

The run time says that it comes in at just a c*nt hair over 100 minutes which makes me think that they have to get around to everything fast which I like

32% on Rotten Tomatos and it brought it about half of what was expected at the box office. Going to be a very bad year for movies.

I think you're looking at the wrong wolf man. Not that 52% is anything to write home about, but it's better than 32%.
The Benicio Del Toro Wolfman is 32%

Nothing more for me to say. I agree.

Well it’s certainly not the traditional werewolf movie so if that’s what anyone is expecting they would be disappointed.

True. He wasn't a werewolf in the traditional sense.

Yep. I have yet to see one “good” review.

The slow change to the face of the wolf was well done.

The script felt off to me. Kinda like it was AI generated.

I thought it was ok (and that’s being forgiving) but I don’t even like calling it a werewolf movie

This is on Peacock now if anybody is interested. We watched it last night and were pleasantly surprised. Reviews are average but I thought it was a cool original take on the subject matter and had some legit scary scenes. The tension on when Blake was going to fully cross over was intense the whole movie, and I loved how they showed things from his point of view like not being able to understand his wife and kid and hearing the spider crawling around with a wolf’s hearing sense
Some of the scenes toward the end got a little goofy but we were on the edge of our seat for most of it. Definitely worth a watch at the least
