The holidays didn't set you back, what your wife spent did.

Most expensive for me by far. In the hole for about $9K. Go kart alone was $4500. Ouch

My parents established a $200 limit in the early 90s, I see no reason to change it.

That’s pretty much our household.

My 14 year literally told me “I don’t need anything” so that’s a plus. Spent her budget money on her anyway.

Point remains though. They get what they want all year. Christmas time is pretty much their end of the year bonus.

We keep to about $250 per person. Don't need much.

A lot, but most of that is on the house we are staying in (we go to the beach every year for Christmas).

Kids got a lot of random stuff, but it's small stuff. Wife and I don't get each other presents.

Other than the trip, the most expensive thing was the case of wine I bought yesterday.

About $300 (that’s for 5 people, and I splurged this year).

If you even know the amount then you are OT poor. I have no clue what we spent. My guess is actually less than last year.

Considering my oldest son got married the weekend before last, I'd have to say around $10,000 in total this month. I'm starting to suffer from that old Italian disease called, Myfundsarelo.

Me: What do you anticipate spending this year for Christmas?
Wife: Whatever it takes.

Sounds reasonable.
