She likes history but doesn’t watch or read the news at all. Says it upsets her from either side of the aisle.

Well Helen Keller is less interesting then Charles Manson. 
I wouldn't say I don't care about current events, I'll sit and watch Fox News or whatever, but when I'm by myself I'm 100% going to be watching Bravo instead.

my wife is pretty good with current events but has limited time looking at news sites and a lot of her spare time is devoted to podcasts and Tik Tok but when she does it's all the best ones (she claims). You know, CNN, ABC, Huff Post
