thoughts and prayers to WVU
this would be a retirement tour, not a massive coup

If Saban even jokes about returning to coaching, DeBoer's office would be cleaned out within 5 minnutes.

Imagine if he won it all in 2027, the 20-year anniversary of their ill-fated 2007 season, and retired during the trophy presentation.

In about 5 years, a la Mack Brown, I could see it.

There's nothing sourced in that article that says he's considering getting back into coaching.
Just some lame clickbait shite.

I'm willing to take that risk.

what is this writer smoking?
saban as an assistant
you think he's taking orders from a head coach after retiring and working long asst hours
That might be the dumbest article I've ever read

If he says he will not be coaching somewhere you can take his word.

Hell, Saban has enough money to buy the state of West Virginia and move it to Alabama if he so desires.

Are you saying that WV is better off now than they would be with Saban?

Jimbo Fisher has said he would come back home, so more likely it would be him.

It’s going to be a full circle moment as Bill Belichick joins Saban’s staff as defensive coordinator.

0.00% chance this happens.
Saban was 100 mph his entire career, but when he finally parked the car I think he parked it for good.

Yeah, the article actually suggests Saban could become an assistant at West Virginia
I would love to take that bet

Saban quit because of the NIL and portal. Why the hell would he go to a smaller Power 4 school where those problems would be exacerbated tenfold?

I'm saying a 72 year old man who will cost an arm and a leg to get to leave the comfy gig at GameDay isn't going to give them the results they want. They would be far better off looking for an up and comer who has fire in his belly and won't be pissed off all the time that he has to deal w/NIL at a school w/far less resources than he's been accustomed to the last couple of decades..

They've been wanting him back since Rich Rod left.

That AD-article made the good people at People Magazine blush.
