X Link

Fox Weather interviews mom who lost her parents and 7 year old son in the floods in Asheville NC last weekend. They had climbed on the roof to escape the rapidly rising waters. Then it swept them all away. Mom got caught in some debris that kept her above water until it resided. She heard her son crying out to Jesus as he was swept away.
Weather anchor lady is crying during the interview. Made me cry too. Hang on to your loved ones tight. Never know when they will be gone from this life.

I found myself crying after this as well.

That was tough.

Was authentic enough to be covered on a national news network. Probably hundreds more untold similar stories from people who are no longer alive to tell it.

At least she'll get $750 from Uncle Sam for her troubles.

I don't know if I could summon the will to continue living if my daughters were killed in that manner. They are nine. I have been petrified of drowning in particular since they were born. I can't imagine anything more devastating than losing a young child.

Edit: I did not watch the video. The OP was gut-wrenching enough.

I can't imagine being in that situation. You're on the roof with the water that high and just wondering if it could go higher. There is nothing you can do at that point.

I wouldn't have been around to tell that story. Couldn't imagine my daughter getting swept off. I would have had to try something no matter how hopeless. I couldn't live with that memory

That's tough shite there

I saw the interview yesterday when they interviewed her. My heart broke and tears started when she said that her little boy cried for Jesus to save him.
