I haven’t tried it as an adult, but I do know that depending on how you’re playing (emulator, etc) the input latency can be brutally long, making certain segments much harder than the original release on the original hardware.

I could get through the entire lineup but I could never take down Mike.

Great Tiger, Soda Popinski, Super Macho Man, and Mr Sandman could all frick me up at various stages of childhood but I finally bested all of them.

This is very true. It’s super tough on a retropie.

Yes, many times. The game had a pass key feature. All games that had those or saved on the cartridge, I beat.

Now Castlevania, Battletoad, TMNT, Ninja Gaiden, and others, no.

It was one of my crowning achievements as a child. No cheat codes to enter and no Internet to look up how. Just word of mouth of things to try and patience.

It is almost impossible to beat on anything not original hardware. Simplistic hardware > software.

Quick dodge is the key.

Used to crush him when I was a kid. Tried on an emulator about 2 years ago and it took me 20-30 tries before I finally got him. Might be my proudest gaming moment as a kid AND as an adult.

Super Macho Man was tougher to beat than Tyson to me.

Yes, but it took quite a bit of muscle memory.

Never could get Tyson beat. Made it to him, tried a bunch.

Downloaded it a year so so ago on my wife's Switch. Got to him again...still no win.

Yes! Code tattooed to my brain! 007 373 5963.

I haven't tried it in quite some time. I do play Super Punch out about once every other year to lay the smackdown on the Bruiser Brothers.
