Heat
French Connection

The problem with Heat was that I saw it on pan and scan VHS rather than widescreen, which made it very hard to watch.

French Connection was more because it was an ur-example of a cop movie and I’d already seen a bunch of Dirty Harry films and other variations on it to where it didn’t seem interesting on a first viewing.

Another one is 2001.

For some reason, I really disliked The Other Guys when I first saw it. I saw it a second time, and now I find it hilarious.

I hate Austin Powers when I first saw it. Once I was forced to watch it a second time I was hooked. I have loved it ever since.

The Blackcoat's Daughter.

Somehow I missed the "twist" the first time I watched it and I thought the movie was awful. The second time I watched it, I "got it" and now LOVE the movie.

I’m embarrassed to say that I didn’t like 40 Year Old Virgin initially. Part of it was that I wasn’t into the awkward humor as much at that point, and the movie was longer than most dramatic movies much less a comedy. As I started appreciating Carell’s style more, it became one of my top 5 comedies of the 2000s

This is a good one. It's one of those silly movies that is full of quotable moments.

I don't know why, but I remember leaving the theater with friends being like, meh...

Ever since my second watch and on, I learned the errors of my ways an absolutely love that movie

Last Action Hero
Saw it in the theater. I was expecting one of Arnold’s usual action type movies and was disappointed the first time I saw it. Watched it again a couple years later, and love it now.
