My great uncle had a room like that. His best story was actually the African Buffalo. The SOB ambushed my uncle and tried to charge my uncle in some tall reeds, but my uncle ducked down and fired a shot in the buffalo's neck to drop it when it was only a couple of meters away. The bull still hit him, but it was dead by then.

Same. I am not sure what his son did with all of the mounts but there were decades of mounts from hunts he went on all over the world.
He also raised deer and had a buck that was on the cover of several outdoor magazines and someone shot it with an arrow through his high fence. He mounted it but obviously had he wanted to kill it he would have done so himself.

Nope, and I have tried to explain that to my wife when she wanted to buy some other mounts in the past for decorations.
