Isn’t Laura Loomer always wrong?

If they lock away a presidential candidate that should be a road too far.

Agreed. Except to say it’s possible that the words could possibly be used “You are hereby sentenced to xyz time in jail…….which is suspended and in lieu thereof you are placed on xyz time period of probation” or something to that effect.

It’s not just Loomer talking about it, left wing sources have been hinting at it for awhile as well.

There is no way. Merchan would have to answer to other people if he did, and they aren't that dumb.

Nothing would bring home to all voters our Banana Republic descent like Merchan extending his tenuous authority.

If he puts Trump in jail and Trump wins I hope after Trump fires a bunch of people in the DOJ we can get a clean and lawful investigation into the judge to see what laws this judge might have broken.

They turned an expired misdemeanor into 30+ felonies...why do people think they did that? They even held a jury trial in one of the most antitrump cities in the country to ensure a guilty verdict.
It was to imprison him.
It was to imprison him.

Careful not to give them too much credit - because they certainly haven’t earned it. From my understanding and observation of things, their primary goal was simply to be able to refer to Trump as “convicted felon Donald Trump.” That’s it, that’s all.

If he wants to sign his own death warrant

Yep. He’ll order it. Hopefully a higher court grants a stay.

I think it started off with wanting to jail trump and they've slowly learned that the more they persecute him, the stro ger he grows. And now they find themselves in a pickle. Months and months of "investigations" and a real unclear definition of the laws broken have them scratching their taints to figure out how to make this busted plan go away.

He might have to, as bad as Kamala has been. There's only so much cheating you can do without it being obvious even to people with their heads in the sand. They'll need as much chaos as possible to hide it effectively.

She's not always wrong she just doesn't actually have legitimate sources. She essentially throws shite against a wall and occasionally some of it sticks but she's still just throwing shite against a wall.

I would just ignore it.

Charging him for things that aren't a crime, holding a completely biased trial, and convicting him on 34 counts isn't already a road too far? You don't go through all this to not put him in jail.
