Surprisingly, Twin Peaks. And it was quite tasty, although it lacked quality lobster meat (no surprise).

Ordering a lobster roll in Baton Rouge is like ordering cajun food in Boston. No bueno.

The key to ordering food anywhere is the same

Order based upon the BEST and FRESHEST ingredients available. This is especially when in season. R

So overrated. Had one in Mane this summer. It was fine. Give me a shrimp or oyster Po Boy.

Mayo based or just lobster meat and butter?

I prefer the simple lobster meat/butter version.

There was a Food Truck, “Joels” link below, out of NOLA that would come to BR sometimes. I have not tried it yet. I’ve had Maine’s best and it can’t be beat. Red’s Eats is the best.

CT style Lobster Roll is hard to beat, especially if you get garlic Parmesan fries on the side.

I've been up and down the East Coast and I keep trying to find one that's anywhere near as good as a po-boy. There's not. Lobster Rolls are served on small, dry rolls that only take away from the flavor of the lobster and have to be drenched in butter to be moist. Most overrated, disappointing sandwich in the US.

And don't even bother with oysters from the Atlantic.. Nothing compares to Gulf oysters.

you can get shrimp in NE and you can get lobster in LA

it’s a lot easier to boil something and pour clarified butter over it that cook a gumbo with any flavor

But the shrimp here are not nearly as good, just as the lobster there is not even close to as good as Maine lobster.

FYI if it were up to me, I’d rather have the higher quality shrimp. Lobster is overrated. I get 1-2 lobster rolls every summer and enjoy them while sitting outside along the water on a beautiful day, but otherwise I never order it.

This entire post just exposes your pedestrian poor taste.

You’re comparing different animals here, but the CT-style lobster roll is superior to the Maine-style.

Call me pedestrian but I much prefer the lobster roll that's seasoned and dressed like a seafood salad than butter only.. my feelings aren't hurt I assure you.
