– The former Uvalde school district police chief and a second former officer of the district were indicted Thursday in connection to the failed police response to the May 2022 shooting massacre at Robb Elementary School. The secondary headline, had you bothered to click on the article, clearly says child endangerment.

Prepare to get mad. A Texas jury may convict, but the conviction will be overturned and the cops will go free. Unfortunately, SCOTUS has determined that police have no duty to protect anybody.

Pretty much agree with this, unfortunately. Though, I think this is more of a symbolic move to charge them.

More specifically than in OP’s subject these are Uvalde school district police officers including the school district’s own chief of police which is why the school district leaders need to also be investigated and charged with something.

This. The city police, state, and Sheriffs never asked where the school police chief was and would have taken over the second they saw him. They considered themselves in charge from the jump.

We have experienced way too many events where a gunman with an overwhelming arsenal has targeted a school, nightclub, grocery store, etc. Many have said the best way to combat and overcome these cowards is to have a well-armed police presence.

Uvalde had the police response yet nothing was done to save lives.

The sad thing is that it will happen again.

Publicly hang him and every officer that was there for over ten minutes. They should all get the death penalty for it.
