There's at least one clip out there that seems to confirm she sings live.
Semi-related, but I know that Adele proved she does when she had a brain fart and forgot the lyrics to a song, so there was literally no vocals while the band was playing. She apologized to the crowd, but it definitely confirmed she sings live.

Others speculated that it was because his daughter was attacked by Swift's fans (not necessarily Swift's fault, but still) after she made a comment about Swift flying instead of driving:

When you produce the crap out of the music, to present it live, you’re most likely going to have to use backing tracks or strip it way down.
