Well a nice start would be to avoid scenes where supposedly super smart scientists do moronic shite like take their helmets off on a foreign planet to breath in all kinds of shite humans have never encountered or be irrationally scared of a hologram but then decide it's ok to play w/a snake monster that just swam up to them 10 minutes later.

good trailer but the last scene is kinda played out; that has been part of every alien trailer since aliens

Man, that's a fricking GOOD trailer. I'm in for this. It has to be better than Covenant.

(I know I'm in the minority, but I liked Prometheus a lot).

I'd love a movie featuring the Colonial Marines again.

Letting Fede Alvarez take over and go back to the horror roots is very promising.

I thought that looked terrible.
That's not Alien. That's just a shitty horror film that is using the alien from the Alien franchise as the scary part of the movie. It looks like it'll likely lack any type of plot whatsoever and simply be a horror type film of a diverse cast just trying to survive.

The ending of that trailer was legit.

Good point but careful what you ask for. Prometheus advanced the story into an absurd beginning.

Literally Alien(s) plot....

Seriously though Ridley tried to broaden the scope of the story in Prometheus and Covenant and I would've liked to seen him finish it. But I think back to basics haunted house in space as a way to sort of soft reboot the franchise for a new generation isnt a bad approach. Maybe go back to exploring the broader story of the engineers and Weyland Yutani's meddling and machinations next go around. And thats assuming we dont see some that in this film that wasnt revealed in the trailer.

Kinda, sorta of done with Alien revival.

I mean, 1979 was a long time ago.

This looks like just an amped up horror scares rehash of the original.

There's nothing new under the sun....even in space.

I agree but next time, they need to try and do something different. Prey proved that a Predator movie could be and do something different. There's a lot of rich material with Alien but it doesn't seem like anyone has any new or interesting ideas to inject into that franchise
