What were the other things they were showing? That she slightly parked on the grass and bumped a slit fence?

Sprinkler heads likely crushed. Irrigation repair needed.

Been there; done that.

I don’t know about anyone else but Amazon in my area leaves the van on the street and walks the package to the door.

They do the same in my neighborhood.

Unfortunately they like to park right in the middle of the street for some reason.

A little disappointed, I thought the garbage can or whatever that is by the street was going to be in play here.

Oh, I gotcha covered. All of these are within the past week in my neighborhood. Last pic is what the postman did to my yard. Nice, huh? The pic of the vehicle is as it was backing out. You couldn't see it originally. It was in their kitchen. Second pic is a mailbox being taken out.

It's probably at the discretion of the driver. Depending where they are on my street, I see all 3 in play. The houses on either end of the curve, they will always pull in the driveways (both are extra wide because neighbors have connecting driveways). If there is no one parked int he street, they make an effort to get as close to the curb as possible without touching grass. If a car is in front of the house, they will just park their shite in the middle of the street.

They also drive Amazon vans, white vans, or a Penske van. Whoever is running the Penske route is the best at staying in the street, avoiding the grass, and the driver will walk across the street or over 1-2 houses to not block the street.

I'll tell on myself a bit here.

Did doordash for a bit during covid because i got tired of being stuck at home so i figured this would be something to keep me busy and make some easy extra cash. Had the same thing happen to me. Was in a hurry and forgot to shift into park when i went make the drop off. drive way was on a incline so it took a minute but the car eventually rolled forward into the familys garage. thankfully it didnt damage the car on the other side but the door had to be replaced.

unlike this piece of crap I actually owned up to it and paid to have it replaced. family was cool about it and there were no issue. dont know how you would think you could just drive away and have no one notice/do anything about it after something like that.

You have to live in the moment and stop trying to rush to the next moment. Cut corners and the corners cut you.

The way people get upset about carriers throwing packages confuses me. When I ship a package, its well enough secured that it can be tossed across a room with no concern of breakage at all.

Packages light enough to be thrown are done so throughout their entire journey--not just at the last stop.

Its a complete non-issue for me but some Karens seem to get their jollys by being offended by the small things.

Nah, she just stopped for an hour lunch at the local Mexican joint and the bad her hair and nails did for the weekend. She is just late now cause she needs to hit up the bank before they close.

It wasn't the fence that was being highlighted, it was the house's facade paint on the back right rear panel of the delivery fan. Hint it was no longer deep blue but white

What’s the purpose of that felt boundary at construction sites? I often see them but don’t see the purpose. Just marking the outer boundary of the upcoming structure?

Among other things already mentioned, it's to keep dumbass construction workers from trying to pull up and park close to the house with their trailers, rutting up the yard, and getting stuck up to the axles in mud.

And the felt boundary keeps mud and soil from flowing onto the road and clogging the drains.

I hit a house in England once. It was the owner’s side of an Air B&B we were using. I backed into her house trying to turn around a big van. It was quite a bump. The lady came out, I told her what happened, and she just said, “No worries, Cheers.”
