Rickie Collins may hit the portal next year. Just watched the spring game and Colin Hurley will be #2 QB next year. He looks ready to step in now should Nuss go down. With Underwood coming in we will be solid at QB for next 3 years.

We should be solid at almost every position on offense for quite some time. DB’s and D line though….

With our OL, Hurley would have all day to throw. It's perfect for him to learn.

ehhhh. Let's slow the hype a little bit. This is how unreasonable expectations start to affect players
I will be shocked if Hurley ever starts a game here.
I think it is Nuss and then Bryce Underwood.

Don't underestimate Rickie Collins. I think the young man showed a lot of improvement over his freshman year. I agree Hurley looks good and having talented QBs is a great luxury.

What a complete 180° from only a decade ago

Hurley lacks a few particular measurables. He makes up for it with intelligence and high character. The kid is just a winner.

Now our QB room consists of
- a current starter that has first round potential (P&G glasses off, many scouts have commented the same)
- a 16 year old ( ) 4*
- a 4* third string
That room will soon be joined by Underwood and the #1 overall prospect in the country and a top 15 recruiting ranking of all time.
This has come quite a ways from Jordan Jefferson, Brandon Harris, and Anthony Jennings

Hurley was in with youngsters and walk ons, but yes he looked decent.

Ah yes, making sweeping assumptions after watching a few snaps in the spring game... Never fails

Don't think Collins has a path to playing time here but imo a spring game isn't ideal for his skill set. Thought he would have broken off some big gains on the ground if not for the no contact rule.

He’ll never play here, not good enough

And Andrew Hatch. Hell, name any QB Les Miles signed out of high school
He was QB Kryptonite. LOL

Collins is a placeholder. He doesn't have it upstairs to play at LSU. He will find success in a one-read-and-run G5 league.

Hurley has what you are born with cannot be coached called the IT Factor . Brady, Payton Manning , Mahomas , it’s a combination of leadership, making other players play harder putting fear in the opposite team.
