I don't know what gateau de sirop is. Other than that I've never ate no grinnel or thistle.

Yea I would give boiled peanuts to Georgia or somebody

I've had all except for choipique, ponce and chadron.
You forgot Oyster Dressing and stuffed artichoke.

45.
Not bad for a kid from NWFL.
I don't have a clue what a few of those things are, though.

I lived in Baton Rouge for 18 months as a child, and I scored a 38. A fair amount of those things are just Southern, particularly coastal Southern.
And I see a few things I need to try making...

noted, and fixed.
I'm born and raised in Western PA and the only one I haven't tried yet is chadron. Not too bad for a Yankee!

Should be the season for them right now (I think).
Just pull your car off to the side of damn near any road and pick a few

So, ponce is kind of a cajun haggis?
Posted on 5/3/24 at 10:25 am to LSUballs
Gateau de sirop is an old fashioned syrup cake. Steen’s, in my experience.

No, Ponce is actually edible!!
The only choupique i've had is caviar, and I don't know what Maudlin is. Never had a Hand Grenade. Had everything else.

maudlin (what is this anyway- google did not help)

Ha. I would definitely try Ponce.
I have had caviar and roe before, but not from a bowfin. When I looked up choupique, it said it was bowfin eggs. I have caught a bowfin, but we let the critters eat it.

Ponce is a pig stomach stuffed with meat and cooked.
I've had everything on that list except choupique.
