re: Favorite food memory

For food and ambience, and the time of life, I remember going to a seafood boil place outside of New Iberia called Mire's, I think, on Friday nights.

Augustus legalized empire.

Cincinnatus set aside power for the good of the Republic.

Don't think Trump's a Cincinnatus.

I think what folks are trying to say is that it isn't just winning that brings fond memories, and it's easy to root for a guy with good character.

So Donald Trump partied with Epstein for twenty years, but then finally realized that he was a creep.

Touched,

I had Close to the Edge going non-stop for a few months! Had a video of the live performance that I watched over and over!

Also did Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures quite a bit in 7th grade - in-between Styx and Zeppelin.

7th grade: Styx, The Grand Illusion
8th grade: Led Zeppelin, Houses of the Holy
9th grade: Def Leppard, Pyromania
10th grade: U2, Under a Blood Red Sky
11th grade: R.E.M., Fables of the Reconstruction
12th grade: The Smiths, That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore (Single EP)

Think that's about right.

If pundits think that the LSU job is the most desired job, then yes.

The Lettermen...

Any fans of The Lettermen?

Unusual for me to like them, given my past tastes, but I can't stop playing them.

Paging Kafka for obscure facts.

They have a bit of Beach Boys harmonies, but preceded them.

Just curious.

We didn't like Charlie Mac because he couldn't beat the Bear.

We loved Saban, but he left us; so we hate him.

We don't like Les Miles, despite the National Championship.

We hate Ed Orgeron, despite the best team ever.

We hate Brian Kelly because he couldn't be Saban.

I think I see the problem...

:geauxtigers:
Well, it's been awhile since Ride for Five and the Jimbo night.

:geauxtigers:
Thank you, TulaneLSU.

All the folks complaining in this thread remind me of students in high school complaining about the low quality of the school newspaper. As if they could do better.

Yeah, and I think the gold lettering helps too.

Georgia Tech Uniforms...

Posted by sertorius on 9/27/25 at 11:43 am
I know that some have very strong feelings about uniforms, and I have liked the recent attempts at changing the Saints' uniforms up. I was curious whether or not the fanbase liked the GT look: white helmet, white jerseys, gold pants.

Don't think we've done one like that before, have we?

Molly Hatchet in Thibodaux.

Well he is the grandson of a Saints Legend, and grew up in New Orleans, and played high school in New Orleans, so folks like to keep an eye on a local prospect.

I listened to them from about age 15 (War) until about 32 (All That You Can't Leave Behind), but it got harder after that. Rarely find myself wanting to give an old album a listen. Hasn't aged well for me, but that's happened for quite a few bands.

Rode the Mickey Mouse "rollercoaster" in '73, when I was five.

Was terrified for 2 hours and nauseous for 12.
