How closely do you resemble your parents?

As a kid I would have never imagined that I would this similar to my parents, we just had a nice pop-up rain shower in my area and I stood outside and muttered to myself "We needed this."
Is it inevitable?

In any way I resemble my dad, I'm lucky. My mom, not so much. I looked in the mirror today and a faded stranger looked back, so it's not long before my son starts worrying about resembling his parents.

“On summer nights the world
moves within earshot
on the interstate with its swish
and growl, an occasional siren
that sends chills through us.
Sometimes, on clear, still nights,
voices float into our bedroom,
lunar and fragmented,
as if the sky had let them go
long before our birth.
In winter we close the windows
and read Chekhov,
nearly weeping for his world.
What luxury, to be so happy
that we can grieve
over imaginary lives.”

The older my sister gets, the more she resembles our Dad's mother. I have a strong resemblance to my Mom's youngest brother.

My brother is just like my maternal grandpa, my sister is just like one of my grandma’s aunts
I must’ve been adopted

My Dad was a no nonsense , anti silly , nothing I can’t do kind of guy.
My Mom was very practical, loyal and loving.
I’m a mixture of both. Except that I have never made the type of union they did. 60 plus years together. I miss them both terribly.
For just ten minutes together ….

Physically, I don’t look like either of my parents. I’m 6” taller than my dad.

My parents don't resemble each other but I look like both of them. Weird

I’m a spitting image of my dad without the mustache 30 years ago. We have the same temper, mannerisms, walk the same, just about everything.

Never thought it would happen, but I'm turning into my dad. I drive along and find myself wanting to stop and get things off the side of the road: "that's a good piece of culvert someone just left there."
One of these days, I'm going to start flirting with the 50 yr old tellers at the bank.

I have my dad's temper and my mom's free floating anxiety. Lucky me.

I wore my fathers 40 year old tux to a charity event last weekend and it fit me perfectly.

Tall like my mom, face starting to look more like dad.

I see my Mom’s eyes when I look in the mirror. She has been gone for 20 years so it’s kind of disconcerting and heart warming at the same time. On the other hand I talk very much like my Dad. Always funny when I meet his friends I have never met and I say something. They are like you are definitely your father’s son.

In looks or actions?? Because every time I bitch at the kids about scaring the wood floors up I kick my own arse just a bit.

Splitting image of my dad. Ive had people in different states that knew my dad years go that came up to me and asked if I was related to him

Pretty much a clone of my Father

I didn't look much like my dad at 35, which was the age he died, so I have no Idea how he would have aged after that if he'd lived longer.
The only thing we had in common was he and I were both thin and wiry with fairly dark complexions. I had a full head of thick hair and he had a hairline like George Costanza from "Seinfeld".
Now at age 71, I don't look like any of my relatives that lived to be that age from what I can see.

My Dad's family had a strong dose of Cherokee that was obvious in their faces and builds. But I look like a carbon copy of my Mom's Irish brothers. I was bigger than my Dad when I was 10.

I don't know. I was adopted from the anonymous union of two teenagers in the Shreveport area.
