I thought they would go through with it which would have disappointed me.

It would have been great to allow them to help young kids process the same situation in their own lives but I would have really missed characters like rusty and luckys dad etc.

Chili's sister was the best part, that episode was tough

Everyone talks about Baby Race, but as a dad Chest and Grandad are the ones that get me the most. Ending of Grandad just kills me every time.

If they end the series I'd be genuinely heartbroken. it's just so wholesome

Baby race, the decider (how can a southern sports fan not relate to the family and camaraderie of fandom) and cricket for me.

Can’t remember the name of the episode but I really enjoy the one where all the dads have their annual manly gathering and chop wood. And the kids constantly interject and try to play with them. Such a great episode.

"We absolutely love Bluey and there are no plans to end the show," a spokesperson for Ludo Studio said.

“We always finish a season before planning the next one and right now we’re halfway through series three and really excited about the future – we can’t wait to share new episodes.”

Also said they would like to do a movie.

That was another great episode !

They were also the couple that was actively looking at the for sale house when the sheep dogs looked through the binoculars

I took that as being Winton's dad's house with the pool, and he was selling it to move in with the Terriers, meaning a house with a pool was now on the market for the sheepdogs to buy.

Yes it was, especially if you have had trouble with infertility. I loved the callback in that episode how Brandy reaches out toward the kids like Bluey reached out for Chilli in Baby Race, and seeing something she really wanted.

They handle very adult issues in such amazing ways. The Mother's Day episode where the balloon pops... Chilli's face and Bandit immediately grabbing her hand...seems like a silent nod to them having a miscarriage.

Like others have said, they have expanded on the side characters so much (Rusty, Jack, Lucky and his family) it would have been hard to see all of them left behind and their stories not explored further. Plus, Lila and Bingo have to graduate together or else Daddy Drop Off has to be retconned.

Ah yeah that makes more sense.

I knew they weren’t moving. One thing the writers of the show do extremely well is maintaining continuity. If you recall, we have seen glimpses of Bluey potentially being with Mackenzie when she’s older and you saw Bingo staying best friends with Lilah through the years and graduating with her.

Another easter egg from The Sign episode is the DJ at the wedding reception is the music guy that plays the musical tubes during the Dance Mode episode. Happened to catch that myself because we saw the Dance Mode episode right after The Sign and it was a "wait a minute" moment.

Another Bluey jerkfest thread? I'm in. Best kids show maybe ever, and it borders on being one of the best adult shows as well. It's that high-quality.

Holy shite I never noticed that before, but I just watched it just now and I think you are 100% right. Wow.

That Onesies episode is just so brutal, but sweet at the same time.

And I've seen Rain mentioned. That is definitely one of my favorites for sure (I love the music). And Sleepytime is one of the GOATs. Cricket is great too.

Honestly, I'm not sure if I would be able to narrow down a top five episode list since there are so many that are just great.

Every single time. Having a little girl and currently doing those types of activities with her and knowing in the not so distant future she won't be little anymore. That line "no it was yesterday" and the flashback. Just hits me in my soul every single time.

Def not a Bluey expert like others in this thread. Just a casual fan when kiddo watches, I'll watch occasionally.

But Top 5 episodes I need to check out? If not 5, then 10?

Narrowing it to 5-10 is too hard, but I'll look at a list and pull some of the ones that we love:

S1
Shadowlands
Takeaway
The Beach
The Dump
Copycat
Camping

S2
Squash
Rug Island
Sticky Gecko
Mum School
Escape
Flat Pack
Sleepytime
Granddad
Barky Boats
Duck Cake
Handstand
Baby Race

S3
Obstacle Course
Mini Bluey
Chest
Pass the Parcel
Phones
Pavlova
Family Meeting
Fairytale
Turtleboy
Onesies
Space
Stickbird
Dragon
Cricket

But honestly, just watch any 5-10 episodes and you'll get a feel for the show. My wife and I have watched Bluey without the little one on several occasions. It's that good. I wanted to watch the new one (The Sign) last night by myself, but then wanted to wait to watch it with the fam and am actually kinda excited about it tonight.

Ice Cream is one episode we love to watch with the kids together. It's really funny. We all pretend to chase each other in circles trying to get a lick of the ice cream.

It really is just a great family show if you've got young kids. It's great for having little quotes and inside jokes to share with your kids.

Every time we pass Gordon McKernan's office, my 4 year old screams "Get Gordon, and get it DUNNY!!"

Like I said, I've watched a few episodes here and there with my kid, but I've started to catch onto a lot of stuff.

He wanted to learn to play "Chest" so we got a chess board and he knows a little.

He learned to floss (the dance) from watching the show

We play keepy uppy
