Whatever you decide, don’t let the kid get multiples in one visit. Space those out 2-4 weeks.

I vaccinated both of my children and I also took the vaccine. Lost a friend to Hepatitis B.

Good for you for questioning the necessity for offered vaccines. Unfortunately, the fact that you are questioning whether every single vaccine available to mankind is necessary for a newborn, you are now labeled as an anti-vaxxer. Welcome to the club of intelligent, aware gentlemen.
Do your research and if you trust your pediatrician, ask for guidance on which ones are necessary. Most doctors don't believe every vaccine is necessary or healthy. They are anti-vaxxers according to the left.
Before COVID a lot more far leftists were anti-vaxxers than any other American sub-group. They had a fricking measles outbreak in Portland
Then COVID happened, and the right was the side calling into question the vaccine, and that has led to an interesting and rare switch-team from both sides when it comes to all vaccines.

Does your doctor recommend it?
Using the combination of your doctor's knowledge of the vaccinations, disease risks, and your child's health history and risk factors is an under-rated heuristic for making health decisions.

Doctor with extensive medical training suggests a vaccine with a long track record of being safe and working
but you got questions and ask the baws...

Well sure. My doctor told me if I kept drinking like that it was going to damage my liver, but the baws down at the bar...

Only a virtue signalling wokester would get their child jabbed with an unnecessary hep b vaccine. Does anyone even die from hepatitis or do they die "WITH" hepatitis?!

"Don't develop liver failure and swell up" is woke propaganda designed to prevent God fearing red blooded patriots from getting swole af.

With the exceptions of the covid vaccine, flu, measles, kiddo has had vaccines.
Covid and flu are pointless. Measles gave me a reaction as a kid. Given how rare that is, I see no reason to take a chance.
He'll get what I say he gets until he's competent enough to make the decision himself.

Sorry your kid is a pussy.

I think recent history of the covid vaccine clusterfrick should remove any thinking human from feeling "awkward" about questioning doctors.
If you have a monolithic view of doctors.
Each one is an individual, and I’m speaking to the OP’s pediatrician, who I presume he will be continuing to take the kid to see.
For instance, ours recommended Heb B vax but has never once mentioned the covid vax.
OP could also always just ask why now and not later and see what the doctor has to say about it.

nope.

immunity wears off after about 20 years. so they'd most likely need to get a booster or repeat the series later fyi.

Unless your kids gonna be slaying bar pussy raw dog, or doing IV drugs there's no need.
They talked to me like I was retarded when I declined for my son.

Of course the doc recommends it. I just don’t think my kid that’s coming out in 3 weeks needs it. My wife wants to get it
You’re being lowest-common denominator’ed and are a cog in the CYA hospital/doctor scheme. (Unless you're actually a risk, which I highly doubt.)
ETA: I asked three different doctors to explain to me exactly why I’d want or need my newborn to have this. The answer was basically shut up.

at one point Mississippi was the only state to have a vaccine mandate
The funny thing to me is that had Trump won 2020 he would have pimped vaccines because warp speed was his policy and patriots would be gigavaxed.
The anti-vax left would have been the ones questioning big pharma and Trump

Could ask your pediatrician about a delayed schedule. Some of this stuff gets done rapid fire because they assume everyone is a burnout who just spit out a puppy isn’t coming back to the doctor.

frick no. Why would a newborn need a vaccine for a virus transmitted sexually?
