Ran into this interesting article today regarding childhood vaccines. I didn't see it list the study data but the premise is something to think about. Does seem that there are a lot of fringe views held by posters here.

Why does a newborn need a vaccine for a disease that is spread sexually or by intravenous drug use?

The only daycare that's worth a shite is the mother staying home to care for her children.

We should take funding from public schools and give it to natural born US citizens to stay home and care for their kids instead of giving it to a bunch of communists who can't even produce a literate person after 15 years of "school".

None of my children received this or any other vaccine. The Hep B is a 3 shot series (1 dose @ birth) 2nd dose in a month and 3rd 4 months from 1st. There is absolutely no evidence to subject an infant mere hours old to this or any other vaccine. Do some research on the Blood Brain Barrier (Google searches (big pharma controlled/paid for as are most of the "scientific" research surrounding vaccines ) will all tell you its closed at birth but many neurologists and neuroscientists are not in agreement with this and some say it doesn't even fully close until anywhere from 3-5 years old). Also not necessary is the antibiotic eye gel they smear on their eyes as soon as they are born. Unless your wife has Gonorrhea this is absolutely unnecessary. Keep the chord intact until it stops pulsating, don't let the medical mob bully you or your wife for your decisions. Have a birth plan ready and stick to it, they prey on the uninformed. I know this from personal experience and I am in the medical field. My kids are vibrant, healthy and have never been to the pediatrician for anything but a well visit in their combined 12 years of life.

I’d say no. And also to chicken pox.

Thanks. I talked to my pediatrician and he said it’s not necessary since my wife is negative for hepatitis b. We will give it to him later on. Maybe after a year old when he’s ready for daycare

You’ve got a good Dr.The vast majority, are going to follow the American Academy of Pediatrics, list of recommended vaccines and not use any common sense.
I would ask him if it’s necessary at 1 year old.Personally,I think it would be better to wait until,he approachs, adolescence.
I can see some value to the Hep A vaccine, toddlers are nasty ,they put anything and everything in their mouths and Hep A is spread by the fecal-oral route.

My first is right around 5 months. Hep B was the only vaccine we declined.

Hoss, you'd better get those kids to the doc asap! There are a few new "vaccines" being released every few months. Don't bother asking what they are for, how safe are they, how necessary or what are the risks. Trust the science.

Pie, can you get me a list of these new vaccines that come out every few months that are on the widely accepted child vaccine schedule.

And no that doesn’t include the Covid vaccines which we did not give our kids because it doesn’t have a long enough track record to trust it.

Or are you just regurgitating some talking point you heard on a Facebook post that you use as your news sources.

And for the record I was not telling the OP he had to give his kids all the recommended vaccines. Merely trying to give him some assurance that they can be safe as evidenced by my kids. With that info he can do what he wants.

It's been around for over 30 years. Why question it now?

Why not? If it checks out, it checks out. If not, then why would you do it? Why would you not ask and look into it?
