Did your child get it? I’m on the fence about this vaccine.

Of course the doc recommends it. I just don’t think my kid that’s coming out in 3 weeks needs it. My wife wants to get it

Good for you for questioning the necessity for offered vaccines. Unfortunately, the fact that you are questioning whether every single vaccine available to mankind is necessary for a newborn, you are now labeled as an anti-vaxxer. Welcome to the club of intelligent, aware gentlemen.

Do your research and if you trust your pediatrician, ask for guidance on which ones are necessary. Most doctors don't believe every vaccine is necessary or healthy. They are anti-vaxxers according to the left.

It's been around for over 30 years. Why question it now?

If you look at the recommendation rationale, it is because many adults with the disease don’t even know they have it. So, it is largely done to prevent mother to baby transmission across the entire population.

At the individual level, you can probably safely decline it, assuming your wife isn’t a sex addict or drug addict . But then you have to remember to get the kid vaccinated for it later. And I suppose there could be awkwardness going against a doctor recommendation. And for what purpose? It’s got a long track record of safety.

It IS unnerving to watch your newborn receive an injection, though.

I did it for both of mine.

Don’t do it, it’s a scam by Bill Gates to turn your baby into a transgender!

If you are a sex worker or use IV drugs it would probably be a good idea for your child to get the Hepatitis B vaccine. Otherwise probably no.

Does your wife have it, or are you planning on letting your infant be sexually active? If so, then yes.

Why read? Is that what you are asking? Why read up on something on your own?

Both of my babies received it. Very safe vaccine. Be careful getting your medical advice from baws on a message board.

Edit: also required for school unless you get an exemption.

I think recent history of the covid vaccine clusterfrick should remove any thinking human from feeling "awkward" about questioning doctors.
