I asked a Danish friend what to do, she texted her doctor (yes, texted) and the doctor saw me the next day, less than 24 hours later, I showed her my prescription, she wrote out a new one, and by the time I walked across the street to the pharmacy the medication was ready, and I paid $15.

I love when people use a small country relative to our own and then ask why we can’t do that here. It’s literally a matter of scale. For starters we are a massive country geographically. Secondly, we have a massive population here. Thirdly, we have a disastrous open border that allows the entire globe to flood our nation and with it our medical resources at virtually zero cost to those here illegally… all of that as a whole makes it impossible to properly fund and manage at any level.. you need to train an army of doctors and nurses which can’t happen due to the current structure and costs of getting into med school… the other issue is the lack of self control by the average citizen leeches who if you start handing out shite for free will flood the system for medical care for no other reason than it’s free.

The West is committing suicide, I don't know why we should be surprised a Westerner is committing (state) suicide.

The biggest reasons are:

1. We spend massive amounts of money to protect tiny countries like that militarily.

They spend a whopping 1.4% of GDP on their military. Almost one-tenth of what we spend.

Basically, we protect them on our dime, and that goes for most countries we are compared to like this.

2. We also are responsible for over 90% of medical R&D in the world. And the reason we are is because we have a for-profit system. Take that away and the R&D stops. Not just for us, but for the whole world.

So yeah, when our taxpayers are paying for that much military protection AND medical R&D for so much of the rest of the world, they can afford a lot of stuff we can't.

That's just like killing her. You really think this chic has any chance? Despite what you see on tv, surviving in the wilderness is highly unlikely for most people.

Completely irrelevant. Society should not endorse or even facilitate suicides except under extreme circumstances. If this woman wants to die, she should do it herself. There shouldn’t be a market or legal avenue for people to do this, at least in a sane and moral society.

Hey genius, I didn’t say anything about here. Someone said “that’s socialized medicine for ya” and I said they do it well in Europe. All of Scandinavia has about 27 million people. All countries are like this. And your rant about the border has nothing to do with this conversation. Big surprise, we can’t do shite here. I’m aware. But our privatized healthcare system is a joke too.

People who make shite up about socialized medicine in Europe being inferior are typically fat dudes from the south who never left the country and pronounce the word athlete with three syllables.

40 days in the wilderness is also referenced in the Holy Bible. It obviously works. Such therapy does not build hospitals and drugs are not used.

Government is always willing to kill or maim confused, defenseless, or depressed people.

She's not "healthy" if she's so depressed that she's wanting to take a dirt nap. I think it's a tragedy that someone has such a messed up mental state, but I also believe modern science and medicine is screwing with Darwinism to the point where we're making the species worse overall with an abundance of unhealthy people being more able to reproduce (thus passing on genetic issues with greater frequency).

If there's a doctor which has tried to talk her out of it and failed but is now willing to provide her with the means to go quietly, so be it.

Depression is real and can be extremely debilitating. I feel sorry for her that death is her choice as the only outlet for peace. God be with her, and her family.

We know so very little about the human brain. If science placed as much effort into good and moral research rather than chasing a dollar for stockholders, then things like this may be repairable.

Wow. The answer was there right in front of us all along, in the Bible!

Hopefully Mexicans don’t read the Bible, because when we build the wall, they’ll find out that all they have to do is blow some trumpets to tear it down. No human made wall stands a chance against a good ole fashioned trumpet. Says so in the Bible.

Some of you guys, I swear.

I don't think this should be pushed on anyone, but if she wants to die, then she has every right to do so. The euthanasia route seems much more peaceful and clean than the alternatives she would have to do on her own. I think it's a permanent solution to (mostly) temporary problems but it's her life, and her decision.

The blowing of the Trumpet didn't cause the wall to fall. But I rather suspect you know that.

Now... back to the topic.

ANY country the helps Euthanize it's own citizens... there simply are no words for how vile and evil they have become.

What's next? "Well, I don't even enough money to live the way I want to, plus, I don't want to contribute to 'global warming and the further destruction of our planet, so can you help me kill myself?"

"Sure. Come in Tuesday at say... 9:00 AM?"
