Pecking order at WR

From the spring practice videos it seems like 1st team is Lacy, Hilton, and AA in the slot. No surprise.
But it looked like 2nd team was CJ, Zavion, and Kyle Parker in the slot.
Did I miss Sampson? Or is he currently taking 3rd team reps.

IMO, it would be a bad look if we took Daniels and Thomas in the portal to be backups, considering the other positions that are weak or thin.
Also, I thought we gave Daniels a big NIL deal. I can’t see him not starting.

In Sloans press conference at the end he went to end it and then quickly said that Sampson has had some very good practices this last week. Said he had to mention that before leaving the podium.

Not exactly related but I find it funny Hilton has always been touted as the fastest WR and we just had two 4.3 guys leave.
Between him and Anderson we should have plenty speed at receiver again this year.

I'm excited to see if Sloan uses AA a lot more than Denbrock was able to.
I don't see how a guy that fast and dynamic in the slot can't be a huge weapon.

The best players will play. Who cares how it looks

It seems like Chris Hilton has been here for six years

Don’t sleep on Kyle Parker in the slot

I’m making the call that Daniels is not going to be an impact player for us

It's still spring ball--why project and worry about who starts? Hankton will get things settled in due course because the best dudes will start
Players aren't promised starting roles and they generally learn a new system/new plays behind incumbent veterans but seems likely at least 1 of the portal WRs would be "first string"
I hope all this year's receivers put 10000 catches on the jugs machine a la Chase Terrace and JJ - I don't care who starts so long as they minimize drops

I do not see Daniels leading this team in receptions.
Lacy and Hilton have been the leaders in spring and would expect Lacy to lead the team in both targets and catches. Because Hilton is going to be the main deep threat he could lead the team in Yds. Also, we should not discount that Taylor is going to be heavily utilized at the Tight End spot.

I don’t see AA holding onto that spot.

How is this relevant to anything?

Early last season they definitely made an effort to get him involved and he didn't do much. That doesn't mean you give up on him, maybe he needed time to get his confidence back after the injury but the problem wasn't that he wasn't used right, he just didn't produce. I'd love to see him come up big.

What's the word on Sampson? Seems like he got some garbage time early last year, dropped a TD pass and then disappeared.

If Nuss throws a lot there will be plenty to spread around. Where Daniels would run Nuss should be throwing.

aa is fast however I wonder if he has the hands necessary to make the plays. But,
