Red beans and rice with a pork chop and corn bread. A side of roasted sweet potatoes . Ice tea . Simple,, small and easy on my struggling GI tract.

Ribeyes I cut from a roast (ribs will be done with a whole chicken on the smoker tomorrow), asparagus. Some bread to start. Made 34 lbs of deer sausage and some deer jerky earlier too. We got iron.

Check out the smoke ring I got on this brisket. What pissed me off is that I got “nominated” to cook the brisket while everyone else in the family brought shite like baked beans and deviled eggs…..

Basically 7 layer salad. That’s just what we’ve always called it. Sits in the fridge for 24-36 hrs before eating.
