ESPN being very careful what comes out their mouths on the Mulkey situation

I just watched them discuss this on First Take. They restrained themselves from bashing Mulkey . Shannon Sharpe even admitted she has a right to get lawyers. Good glad to see Kim strike fear in the media now. Enough is enough with the bashing. If you can’t back it up then I’m all for Kim making them cut checks.

I'm surprised the media has the balls to continue going on these unjust crusades against people. There have been some very expensive defamation lawsuits against media companies over the last decade in various situations.

Hard to have an opinion on something when you have no idea what is even going on.

Im pretty sure after the article is published the media can discuss and perpetuate the propaganda by simply stating, “ according to the Washington Post article, which if true, blah, blah, blah.”
Thus I expect no restraint from the media.
Im sure you will see Brittany Grenier as a frequent media guest in this discussion.

RE: dj30
Exactly! I don't think it's worth the time to think about what is in the article until it comes out.

If it takes two years of hounding everyone KM knows to try to get someone to trash her, then you have a huge fictional nothing burger!

Exactly. This whole thing is dumb.
Is this a Sandusky situation? A pokey Chatman situation?
Like what is even the whole scope of this fricking article

I think CKM and LSU have some ideas on where the writer is going because he sent them questions last Tuesday demanding answers by Thursday. I think that's what spurred her statement at the press conference. We, however, have no idea about it other than speculation.

I'm interested to see if Poole is one of the sources for the article. Other than the speculation that's gone on here, still no idea what exactly transpired there, but I could definitely see Poole having an ax to grind.
Other than dragging up all the old bs on Griner, I'm also interested to see if she made any new statements for the article. She seems to have quieted down a bit after her stint in a Russian prison. I think her experiences with a foreign criminal justice system has toned down her rhetoric quite a bit.

They go against anyone who is not aligned with their political agenda even if they may be excellent in their jobs, like Elon Mosk. Also, they want to make SC coach the face of women basketball and they think Mulkey is a big competition and the main goal here, IMO, is to hurt her recruiting. But this media biased that has gone on for a long time is back firing in sports and politics.
They will bury stories about those who agree with their politics and fabricate others that don't. Just who they are and "news" is their means to their ends.
They want a black face for basketball and Mulkey's in the way.

This is what delusion looks like lol. Kim is just an unlikable personality to many and if not for her winning it wouldn't be as accepted as is. Dawn is already the face of women's basketball and is undefeated against Kim so there's that. This would be like defending the Les Miles article and saying its because they're trying to make Saban the face of football

I doubt Griner talks about it at all. She's still shellshocked from her experience in Russia.

True, but since when has the media let it's lack of knowledge on a subject stop them from commenting??

This is not true at all. You don't think they played against each other when she was at Baylor?
