I agree that this whole thing is weird. Right now all we have headlines on ESPN.com saying that an article will be published in the future. The media is drumming up intrigue during the WBB tournament. They likely think it will be compelling for the sport to have a villain.

If CKM were anti-black or anti-gay then it sure is strange that she has chosen to be a women’s college basketball coach in the south…

Now, the “smoke” I can see is that Poole just entered the portal ~2 weeks ago. With her future at LSU over, did she pick up the phone to call this reporter saying CKM said she was too heavy before the start of the season?

After the fight in the SEC championship, Angel Reece referenced her “status” in all CAPS on a social media post. Is her status double-secret probation or something?

Was there player opposition to cute, white HVL portaling in and being “given” the start at point guard? I mean, if that is the case then that article / dilemma applies to every coach in every sport now - what do coaches offer these transfers that the existing players did not get?

The only other story-worthy “sin” in college athletics is recruiting violations and if they have proof then let them step forward.

If this is all “Mulkey is tough on all players, some of whom happen to be black” then, yes, this is going to be a 1-week story that is quickly forgotten.

We have met Kim twice. She was very charismatic, respectful, appreciative, and took the time to speak with us. And she didn't have to. Nowhere close, or the extreme opposite of what the so-called press and social media has been portraying her. We are supportive of Kim, we would believe her over the liberal, woke, social justice media any day. These sports people are not writing about sports-related articles, they attack people's character and integrity to get clicks. It's time to hold these people accountable. Go ahead, the social, woke people, and LSU haters on this board will downvote, you know who you are, count on it.

BATON ROUGE - A judge ordered former LSU athletic administrator Sharon Lewis and her attorney Larry English to pay $200,000 to former head football coach Les Miles.

In the initial lawsuits, District Judge Beau Higginbotham sided with Miles, saying the allegations of covering up sexual harassment had no legal merit.

Peter Ginsberg, Les Miles's attorney, says the allegations were also damaging.

"They couldn't speak out, they couldn't defend themselves - except in court," Ginsberg said. "So it took us three years to defeat all the accusations and get to the point where now these sanctions have been awarded."

Last year Sharon Lewis filed a $50 million lawsuit against LSU, alleging a hostile work environment and inappropriate sexual behavior against female employees. The jury rejected those claims in December 2023.

Sharon Lewis filed suits in both state and federal court last year, claiming coworkers and superiors retaliated against her after she reported to LSU athletic department officials that two former students made sexual harassment allegations against Miles. Miles was the Tigers' football coach at the time and was one of Lewis’ direct supervisors.

The second student's allegations against Miles led to a settlement agreement between the two of them. Newly unearthed documents in Lewis' case show that the student's attorney requested $2.15 million from Miles and LSU. The final amount that she received remains unknown.

The suit names Miles, LSU’s board of supervisors, Athletic Director Scott Woodward, former Athletic Director Joseph Alleva, Executive Deputy Athletic Director Verge Ausberry and Senior Associate Athletic Director Miriam Segar.

On Tuesday, 19th Judicial District Court judge Tim Kelley sanctioned Lewis and her lead attorney Larry English, over claims they made about Robert Barton, Vicki Crochet and Shelby McKenzie, three attorneys for Baton Rouge law firm Taylor Porter, who were among the slate of defendants.

In his judgement filed in court records late Wednesday, Kelley said Lewis and English made false criminal allegations about the three attorneys, failed to adequately investigate conspiracy claims against them, and made several "sensational and unsupported public statements to the media." The judge also cited "abusive litigation tactics" and unfounded accusations of racist and sexist conduct as the basis for his ruling.

He ordered Lewis and English to pay $330,461.97 to cover the three defendants' legal fees spent battling the pair's "frivolous allegations." Kelley did not award the attorneys punitive damages, his order indicated.
