Like it or not he was.
He continues to make errors in pitching.
Dugout is like a funeral home. Where's the energy?
2 weeks in a row is beginning to show itself.
Arkansas and Vandy on deck.

This has nothing to do with the coach.

What, exactly, is it showing?

WTF are you even talking about? The coach is making errors in pitching?

Yea, seeing him get ejected sure lit a fire under this team didn't it?

What is showing your ignorance?

Thanks for the heads up.

Oh sure. If he had rearranged the lineup we would have gotten 10 times the hits? And I love the “no energy” charge. That one pops up all the time. You sit in a dugout that only gets three hits and see how much energy you have.

You are a looney tunes character. What the heck is your point? We won the NC last year So what have some things to workout this season? We do not need fair-weather fans like you.

Yes we lost the series. Yes it sucks.

Now its time to grow up and realize it doesnt mean anything yet

No this is a team without a player leader. It's clear as day. After that ejection it's like Jay's energy left with him instead of the team harnessing it.

This is a young team and a team that lost a lot of leadership and also a team that is searching for an identity! I don’t think he was out coached !

He didn’t get out coached. It appears that he got caught with an offense that just isn’t good. The offenses this year around the league seem to be out of this world. How many double digit home run guys did Florida have and how many of their starters were hitting over .300? That’s all over the league.

It appears Jay thought he was going to have elite pitching that could get him through until the offense got going. The problem is our pitching has been really good at times, but elite is another level and we aren’t there. And unfortunately the pitching hasn’t been better than the hitting we have faced in the SEC. It’s good enough to keep us in games and then the damn breaks.

Any real fan knows we just need to get hot at the right time and talent wise on paper this team can compete with anybody. We just need to focus on growing as a team and getting in the dance and see how things shake out.

With all that said, I don’t think Jay is going to get caught again and will go scorched earth in the transfer portal looking for guys that can hit .350 with 15+ HRs.

Not sure why you have so many downvotes, I think most would agree he was out coached.

Left ackenhousen in too long.

Other than that JJ cannot hit the ball for the players.

That seems fair in this last series. This happens to the best coaches from time to time. It’s not a trend.

quote:

He continues to make errors in pitching.

That is odd wording, but I know what you mean. This one is a bit hard to really argue because it’s really a what if. Ack seemed to be stretched a bit too long, but you don’t really know that whoever comes in shuts them down.

quote:

Dugout is like a funeral home. Where's the energy?

People look too much into this. Teams are usually celebrating poor performance.

quote:

2 weeks in a row is beginning to show itself

No clue what this means.

It seems like only a year ago we saw threads like this every time we lost a game.

If only I could remember how last year ended

If we're zooming in to a single game among say 60 or 70 games, maybe so.

But if we learned more about our roles and plans going forward, maybe not.

The lineup is fluid. The pitching toles are fluid.

IMO, the biggest challenge for CJJ is to "know" our team. Full time job.
