First Soccer Mom “Karen” Experience

Title says it all. I had my first soccer mom experience yesterday and it was quite an experience.
Let me preface this by saying I’m coaching 6/7 year olds (1st/2nd graders) co-ed in soccer. We do not keep score and they have no officials for the game. The league itself struggles with communication and just general organization. I volunteered to coach the team this spring because our fall team had 3 different coaches. I have general soccer knowledge and I’m familiar with rules and regs.
Two weeks ago, we get team roster, and I organize our first practice. Cold front moves in and we end up having about a 45 min first practice with 50 degree weather and brutal winds. Next practice was scheduled the following week along with our first game. Everything gets rained out, because it rained just about everyday last week.
Yesterday, a text gets shot out to the group talking about the lack of organization of the league, and Karen proceeds to text that she had contacted the league about having her son Braxton moved off our team because she wasn’t happy with the first practice and that we cancelled last weeks practice due to weather and didn’t make it up. Another parent says something asking about her first time being in the league, and she proceeds to go off.
She openly criticized me because we didn’t reschedule last weeks practice. Starts arguing with all parents in group chat, taunting and instigating the argument with emojis etc. By the end of the conversation, she tells all the parents in the group chat to find a REAL sport (the same one her son is playing). She just went completely HAM to the point that I emailed the league officials and had her son removed from the team.

Sucks for the kid that their parent is going to ruin a lot of things for them over the course of their life.
I was fortunate, any of my experiences that were ruined were ruined by me and not by meddling parents.

If I were the coach we would be doing two a days 6 days a week. Sounds like you don’t want to win. Good thing they get a trophy anyway

The underrated loons of the sports world and it's probably because it isn't as popular in the South are wrestling moms. I have seen some wild shite go down at wrestling meets.

You keep coaching your kids teams and you'll deal with crazy moms, and dads who "know what they're doing". You just roll with it, and make sure your kids are having fun.
