Get your kid onto a non-coed U8 soccer team. Need to learn a bit before U10, because that’s when they either fall in love with the sport and do club U11-U13 or they move on.

First off, she doesn’t have room to criticize a volunteer coach unless she herself offers to volunteer in place of whoever she is criticizing.

Secondly,

quote:

I emailed the league officials and had her son removed from the team.

This sounds like a win-win solution to me. She got off a team she didn’t want to be a part of, while at the same time you don’t have to deal with said crazy mom any longer. She’s now another team’s problem.

I always have an appreciation for the coaches that step up to coach in these types of leagues. I did it one year on my son's baseball team years ago, then my job situation changed and I wasn't able to continue it in years after.

It really blows my mind to see how some of the parents act, especially to the coaches that are volunteering. They should just be thankful they have a team at all.

Sucks for the kid that their parent is going to ruin a lot of things for them over the course of their life. I was fortunate, any of my experiences that were ruined were ruined by me and not by meddling parents.

We have way too many shitty parents in this country.

And then we wonder why we have so many disrespectful/self entitled kids roaming around today. Starts at home.

You are better off. With a mom and name like that, I'm guessing Braxton is a real problem.

We have spring soccer and are lucky to get 5 practices in due to the rain. The only thing I complain about is that I should get some type of discount.

Travel ball doesn't just weed out the shitty kids, it weeds out the whales.

Travel ball moms > rec moms

How horny are you, at 8 am, that you keep asking for pics of some random Karen bitch that the dude says is ugly?
Do you own a google? Damn man.

I just don't understand people who seek out drama and love causing drama. I really think these folks just sit around, bored stiff, and decide to stir up some shite just for entertainment purposes.

What a sad, sad way to live. I've come across people like this in my life and I avoid them at all costs the moment I recognize they're 'that' type of person.

Good move getting her kid kicked off the team. Sucks for Braxton, and I'm sure she'll tell him it's your fault, but someday he'll realize what a count his mother is.

Very misplaced priorities. Hopefully, for the sake of her children, she realizes it before they graduate from high school and are gone.

You likely cost him his pro soccer career by refusing to reschedule the practice. I don't blame her for pulling her kid.

I coached t-ball one year in Mt. Home, AR. We had a girl on our team, who at six years old was not much of a player. At least she never sat on the ground in the outfield during the game, like some of the boys did. I had a parent (mother) come to me after a game and tell me,

"If you will ride her unmercifully, all the time, she will quit, and the team will do better."

I told her to go to hell and quit coaching after the season ended. Have not missed ending my coaching career any at all.

I feel lucky - I'm 4(ish) years into coaching youth soccer, and I've never had a bad parent interaction (though there have been a couple with opposing coaches ).

I work hard to challenge the kids and help them / make them grow. I'm already out there anyway, no need to just babysit and pat them on the head. You say you want them to play soccer - we're going to learn to play soccer.

I've had a couple that have moved their kid to another team after a season - they come back eventually

Well, you basically ruined Braxton's chances of making a soccer travel team, and ultimately, his spot in the Olympics. So it's you not her.
