I am looking to take the wife out for an anniversary dinner soon and I am wondering if Louisiana Lagniappe is still good? I used to hear people rave about it but I haven't heard it mentioned in a while.

“The best restaurant in Baton Rouge isn't in a trendy hotspot or on a main thoroughfare — it's hidden in a little house off of Harrell's Ferry Road.”

I like Maison Lacour but we went there last year for our anniversary.
Thank you for the suggestion.

I had Louisiana Lagniappe recently and it was 10/10. Even their starter sensation salads are top notch.

I may get some hate... I went to Supper Club last year and had the absolute best-seared scallops I've ever had. Their burnt ends and lobster bisque were excellent as well.
I say that everyone should try it at first. We sat next to a table that... well, you could tell it was their first time at a "fancy" restaurant because they were rowdy and kept flashing their lights for pictures.

Went to Besusoleil for a birthday and had a very good meal there. I think it could work for anniversary.

Mansur's or French Market Bistro would be good choices as well.
If you're willing to drive you could consider Houmas House or Grapevine Cafe in Donaldsonville.

We went to the restaurant at the Myrtle's plantation recently. I thought it was nice and the food was good.

We went to LL last Monday (1/2 price wine night) and meal was excellent. My one complaint is that we've eaten there for ~30 years (between Destin & BR) and the basic menu doesn't change, but what they serve is always good.

Beausoleil was really bad last time I went. Used to love the place

Tusnami’s. The outside view is outstanding this time of the year
