It's really amazing how so many billions of dollars have been spent developing and manufacturing products that no one wants.

This EV will have much more torque than the current models.
Anybody who knows muscle cars knows torque is king.

All EVs have electric motors that drive the wheels (tires ) .
My electrical engineer prof adamantly claimed that the best efficiency for electric motors is 33% , the remaining 67% is waste heat.
So , the 100% energy coming from the EV battery , only 33% is transformed into usable mechanical force.
Solar cells also have the same similar problem.
There is no free lunch.

Everyone knows what a "muscle car" is - except the OP :lol
If that's a "muscle car" I had about 6 when I was 8 years old and they drove around a little track in my living room:

How many donuts can you get on a full charge? Does it leave enough juice for a quick flight from the cops?

I like it.
I don't know how they are going to make this work though. EV buyers are not going to like something that's designed to look like a retro muscle car.
And muscle car fans aren't going to want an EV.
I hope for the best for that American brand, but I just don't see them having a smooth future with the government cracking down on everything cool.

This car is overweight and stupid powerful. It likely does well in a straight line but not so great in corners. It's designed to attract attention by taking a fairly normal car configuration and adding massively powerful motor(s) to it. They even have something to mock up a noise to people outside which I think is pretty stupid.
It seems like it fits the muscle car definition well except that traditional muscle car fans aren't likely to appreciate it.
Then again, Tesla sells the Plaid to people that like to go dangerously fast. Maybe there is a market for it...
I think Cadillac or Lincoln would have better luck selling what is likely a $100,000 performance luxury sedan than Dodge. But I'm glad they are pushing the envelope and aren't just letting the brand's most successful product die with the V8 engine.

Agree this is the equivalent of putting a baseball card in your bicycle tire spokes for sound

Incorrect, a motor runs on electricity and an engine runs on combustion fuel.

I think they should have gone the other direction and brought out a contemporary design with better aerodynamics. It would be antithetical to the Dodge ethos, but maybe it's time to just ditch the Dodge brand and come out with some new brand that's entirely EV. It just seems like Dodge just doesn't really work without a real, authentic V8 engine. These new government regulations have hit them harder than almost every other brand with their parent company abandoning the V8 engine entirely.
Muscle car buyers won't go for this thing because it's an EV even though their higher trim models will likely be the fastest cars Dodge has ever made. And EV buyers don't want something that looks like a throwback muscle car.
It's a very interesting setup, but I think an EV car with a silent powertrain would be more appreciated by Buick, Lexus, or Jaguar buyers than the people you typically see buying Dodge Chargers.
It's infinitely better than the Ford Mustang Mach E though. That car is a complete piece of shite and should feature the Mustang name.

You'll have to take that up with Night Ranger.
