"St. Slammany" is a myth that died ten years ago. The present judges in the 22nd JDC pass pretty weak sentences now on repeat offenders.
Also, there are a lot of sex offenders in the Lacombe area. The state allowed a couple of shady group home type places open there for sex offenders who were due to be released but essentially had no where else to go. It was done on the down-low about eight years ago, and the local citizens pretty much had no say in the matter or were unaware.

There's 8 offenders registered at the same address as this guy. 1/2 mile walk to the laundromat.
