Lafayette has 10K more students with a $232 million endowment. Monroe with a $73 million endowment
It wasn’t that way in 1999 when the NLU name change happened. Swearingen was horrible for NLU.

Ball game. Houston won their first game of the tournament and ULL goes winless

So you really believe that between 99-24 Lafayette gained that much endowment and enrollment? Get real man. Lafayette has always been higher up the pecking order than Monroe. That pharmacy school is the only thing keeping Monroe holding on.

I went to ULM my freshman year. It's a beautiful campus. It's a small school and ULL is certainly bigger. A lot of kids from out of state go to ULM for the pharmacy program.
I agree ULL is higher on the pecking order but I still think its stupid how they want to take over the "University of Louisiana" moniker. They're still a directional school. They only have a couple more thousand students than Southeastern does.

Between 1999 and 2018 the endowment grew from $36 million to $200 million. So yes, it did. That is from their own website, which they insist on calling Louisiana instead of their actual name of ULL.
I cannot find their enrollment data from 1999, but it grew by a lot while they exploited the title they chose and called themselves "Louisiana." At the same time, the ULM president did the opposite and we experienced a decline.
40 years ago, the school's were practically the same. So no, they haven't always been higher in the pecking order. In the 70s and 80s, NLU, USL, and La Tech were pretty equal in money, students, education, athletics.

Why did ULM admin just sit by when ULL pulled all of their Louisiana nonsense? They are in the same conference, how did they not step up and say "hey, that is not their name and we are not their satellite campus."
ULM got cucked more than anyone.
We're in agreement. My recollection is that ULL had a lot more aggressive university president than did ULM.

All this talk is nice but, there is only ONE University of Louisiana and that is the Flagship university of Louisiana- Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College. There is no dispute ( except for the fools pushing an agenda at ULL).
ULL (USL) is and always will be a directional college.

LSU, Tulane, Louisiana Tech, Southern and Grambling should be the only four year colleges in Louisiana.
You do realize that one of the schools left off your list beat us in baseball and basketball within the last 12 months......

Semjase: ULL puts out some very strong professionals. I have hired and worked with several, more than I can say for some of the schools on your list.

When Ull lost their football coach they were pissed with the idea that LSU would take him. Then when they realized LSU was not interested came the idiots who thought he was better than Kelly. For a school with 19000 students you would think they could truly separate from the other state schools instead of pretendt like they are by using a pseudo name. Surprised over the years ULM who lives with the change as written hasn’t either required ull to do the same or refer to themselves as Louisiana, as confusing as it would be, as well.

I live in Lafayette. I’ve never seen this, either.
I’ve seen the LSU/ULL “house divided” plates and stickers. But not ULL/Alabama.
