How is it you regressive imbeciles block out facts constantly? Were you brainwashed that thoroughly? AS many have noted already and the new york times, this entire war is the fault of your country, the US. People died senselessly. This man you speak of, died because of his country's greed and lies. Russia has been protecting itself from attempts to overthrow gov'ts in the surrounding countries and Navalny was for many's best guesses, the guy that was supposed to unseat Putin. We installed CIA bases, bio labs, used color revolution to install Zelensky, and actively worked to overthrow the Russian gov't. Blew up nordstream so we could install US and Brit friendly board members in a competing energy company to launder those profits. Andrew's story of courage was wasted over nothing by evil people.

My wife's family lives in Ukraine. There was nothing wrong with the life they've had so far other than a corrupt government that didn't really impact them that much. Sure infrastructure issues, brown outs, etc. are the norm. They never professed fear of Russia or the "evil" Putin.
They are Russian speaking people (they don't speak Ukrainian) but have had no problem living amongst the native Ukrainians since the late 1990s.
The problems began about 10 years ago with rising nationalism, and in particular, neo Nazi "Bandaras".
It became no longer safe to speak Russian or identify as Russian. It was especially hard in areas of Eastern Ukraine closer to the border with Russia. Mayors of certain towns outlawed the speaking of Russian language. It became very hard for Russian people in Ukraine. And it's no very small minority of the population. In fact, most of Eastern Ukraine, where the war is being waged, are full of Russian loyalists.
But I digress, all of these activities mysteriously coincide with the U.S. State department and CIA's involvement in Ukraine. The overthrow of the President, the Maidan Revolution. It's well documented and even one of your "trusted" news sources, NYT, points it out. Notice I said yours and not mine?
Long story short, he died for absolutely nothing. Being from Seattle, he probably believed there are 250 + everyday genders and men could birth children.

I'm friends with Andrew's family. Andrew's dad wrestled in the NCAA championships for LSU in 1984, so he probably has more connections to the LSU community than people on this website realize.
Andrew had a solid upbringing and his mom and dad hold strong conservative beliefs. Andrew's grandfather was one of the "Chosin Few" from the Korean War.
Saying more would violate my trust with his family, but they remain confused, frustrated and devastated by the lost of their son.

For me, my problem isn't the Ukrainian people, it's the whole grift being sold to the public as something righteous. The driving force behind this war is the MIC and a greedy and corrupt Congress.
On top of that, Ukraine has no hope of winning. Prolonging the war only ensures more dead Ukrainians.
Our country can't afford to send billions, we need those tax dollars spent here, at home for our country.
A real leader would negotiate a peace settlement to allow what's left of Ukraine to begin re-building.
Guys like John Mearsheimer and Jeffrey Sachs are pretty much on point about the Russia-US war in Ukraine. Make no mistake, it's a war, only our war machine is using UKR forces as proxy.
We've been at this with Russia since the colored revolutions and forcing out Viktor Yanokovych. They're going to push this to the brink, watch them.

When's your flight to Ukraine?

I often wonder if the Ukraine flag wavers are aware of Stepan Bandera and the Nazi leanings of Bandera supporters.

How many billions has Ukraine gotten that they did not spend on body armor for their own dudes?

What specifically is inspiring about this story?

Our own Freedom and Sovereignty is on the line now, albeit we haven't began the shooting war as of yet. The Fascist hope to implement "fundamental change" to the Globalist version via destroying the USD/Private Assets System and employing Cancel Culture to "herd cats". Might work.
Regardless, I respect Webber for at least putting his life on the line for his beliefs. As misguided as I may view his belief re Russia v Ukraine. I wonder if Webber would fight and die for Texas if they wanted to establish their own sovereignty?

Sad story. Unfortunately, he was a useful idiot and chose to believe the governments lies about Ukraine and “defending democracy.”
