DeSantis would have beaten him like a drum. But Republican primary voters are fanatical zealots who have thrown their entire lot with Trump, whose candidacy will go up in flames as the court action becomes more intense in the coming months.

It seems the political IQ of this board has really tumbled the past few years. It’s one thing to like Trump a lot and not like Haley, and you can even disagree with her statement that she is the best chance to beat Biden.
But to try to argue she doesn’t have the best chance to beat Biden in the General Election solely because she can’t beat Trump in a GOP Primary shows one doesn’t understand elections and differences between party primary results and a general election.
