I don't buy Rams, but this is a critical, critical point. When a manufacturer is trying out a new engine, and a new tranny, moving assembly lines, etc., quality takes a dump.

That's your opinion not fact.
Have had Dodge and Fords myself. Both held up great. Used in the pasture, hauling hay, cattle, equipment, etc.
The early dodges had shite interiors but the cummins engine couldn't be beat.
In all honesty in today's market find what you can afford because they are all comparable and other than styling are the same. They all have their problem batches and they all have that one or 2 issues that seem to never get taken care of.

I’ve enjoyed mine. Tow most weekends and it’s really comfortable on road trips. Zero issues so far.

I am a Tundra fan and own a 2018.
You must mean 2021 and below, 2022 is the year they abandoned the V8.
With that said the Tundra 5.7L is not without its problems and by no means a perfect engine. However, it's more reliable than most other offerings.

Honest answer, the hemi 5.7 and their transmission is likely the most reliable combo sold today.
Why?
Because gm and ford transmissions are garbage. Toyota went turbo. Nissan killed the 7 speed in favor of the 9 speed... And then got out entirely.
It isn't so much that the ram got that much better... It's that everyone else got so much worse.
For gas burner trucks.
Ford 7.3
Dodge 5.7
Toyota
Ford 5.0 Ford 2.7 Gm 6.2 Ford 3.5
Gm 5.3

Anyone with over 25 head isn't using a truck bed to move bales either.
<--moves loads of bales/cattle on both the hemi and diesel 2500 rams...no real issues. all 3/4 ton trucks are leaps and bounds above anything 10 years ago. They all have quips but all are haulers.

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Lonestar Editiion currently with 92,000 miles. Tow a 6000 lb travel trailer at least once a month usually to campsites within a 2-6 hour radius from the house. I had to replace the waterpump at about 80,000 miles. Other than that no other maintenance issues. Gas mileage is shite but rides well, tows great, has plenty of get up and go. AC will freeze you out even in the summer and it absolutely has the best factory sound system of any vehicle I have owned.
Just for comparison, the truck I traded in for the Ram was a 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500. Had just over 200k when I traded it in. Only thing I ever had to do on it was a water pump, alternator and brake job.it had much better gas mileage, ride just as well, not quite the get up and go, not near as much room in back seat and Bose factory sound system was pretty good but not as good as the Ram.
Honestly I was more than happy with both trucks.I really think you can get a really good truck with any brand or you can get a lemon with any brand. I usually buy based on whatever I can find the best deal on.

I’ve got a 21 Ram 1500 Limited EcoDiesel. I get between 25-27 mpg on average, with a 33gal tank I rarely need to stop for diesel. Rides excellent and looks sharp as hell. I had a couple BS quality issues when I first bought it (rattle in the dash and a howling wind noise), took the dealer couple tries to fix it. I’ve put 46k miles on it since and haven’t had any problems.

2018 Tradesman 1500. Good truck, rides smooth. Gas in the city sucks, highway I get 23/24 a gallon. Tradesman doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles but that’s what I like

I’m on my 4th RAM now.
Owned 2005, 2012, 2019 & 2022 models.
Have the 2022 Laramie now.
I had some electrical issues with the 2012, but nothing power train related.
I loved my 2019 and only got a 2022 because of the crazy used car market where I got so much for my trade.
I love my 2022 though.
The interior is sleek, the 5.7 is responsive and smooth. The ride is soft and isn’t harsh. Not the best mpg but standard for a truck.
I think the interior is the nicest in the segment, with tons of added storage and amenities.
I’ve loved them overall and would recommend.
All that said, find the truck you like best.
They are all close and I would be happy driving any of the brands these days.

My dad always told me that if you buy dodge you die with a dodge. Cause they aren't worth a shite for trade or selling out right. Get a used Toyota Tundra 5.7L.

Hard to beat the HO 5.9 24valve i6 with the cp3, that’s about as perfect of a engine as you can buy.
Hard to beat the Alisson transmission about as tough as they make.

You must keep yours strictly on the highway pulling your lawnmower. If your rough on trucks and work them, Ford is the most reliable, that’s not an opinion that’s a fact.
