Justice Department Indicts Informant in Biden Bribery Scandal

A federal court has unsealed a two-count indictment against Alexander Smirnov, a former FBI Confidential Human Source. Special Counsel David Weiss on Wednesday announced that Smirnov is facing two charges related to fabricating claims about President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
The issue centers on the bribery scandal that came to light in July 2023. Smirnov accused the president and his son of accepting bribes from Ukrainian energy company Burisma in exchange for clearing the way for the company to do business in America.
The indictment alleges that Smirnov “provided false derogatory information” about Biden and his son. The document refers to the president as “Public Official 1” and Hunter as “Businessperson 1.”
Despite repeated admonishments that he must provide truthful information to the FBI and that he must not fabricate evidence, the Defendant provided false derogatory information to the FBI about Public Official 1, an elected official in the Obama-Biden Administration who left office in January 2017, and Businessperson 1, the son of Public Official 1, in 2020, after Public Official 1 became a candidate for President of the United States of America.
Smirnov was arrested at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, after arriving from overseas.
The indictment dissects Smirnov’s claims, noting discrepancies and fabrications in his reports. Of particular note are the allegations that he deliberately misrepresented Joe and Hunter’s dealings with Burisma. He suggested that both parties received payments in exchange for political protection. RedState’s Jennifer Van Laar covered the allegations when they first came to light.

We all know the problem, it's the solution that freezes us in our tracks. The Marxists know it too, "the barrel of a gun" is always what settles which ideology (Constitutional Prinicple/God-given Rights vs Marxism) holds formal power as the two sides are polar and societally incompatible.
I suspect that the Left pulls the trigger this year in regard to taking a chance that Trump sneaks back in via an 'uncheatable' electoral wave. Knowing that Trump must and will do to the Marxists what they do to their opposition per the OP.
All of those imported 'warriors' has really changed the dynamic. The Dems watched that Video that we discussed here..."Why the Right will win the coming Civil War". And they opened the Border the Border to fix it. The 'Government' has bought up plenty of guns and ammo to arm them, albeit drinking ditchwater won't be much of target to shoot when the lights go out.
We are riding on the 'Titanic'. Get Jesus, if that is an option.

Has anyone seen any reporting on exactly what “discrepancies” and “fabrications” and “deliberate misrepresentations” they allege he reported? I’m not inclined to accept on faith that whatever the DoJ says is true or false is, in fact, true or false.

Everyone knows both Bidens are criminal traitors and there is much proof to support this. Maybe this indictment will backfire if the defendant can produce information at discovery and trial to defend himself and the media is forced to cover it. I can hope.

Weird.
MSDNC, ABXi, XiNN, NBXi, XiBS, Faux News, WaPo, NYT and 99% of other "news" publishers have deliberately provided the public at large with false derogatory information about Donald J. Trump every single hour of every single day since June 16th of 2015.
Where's their indictment? Their derogatory claims are demonstrably false and it's not even debatable, unlike Smirnov's claims that are backed up by evidence.

There has got to be some kind of protection for confidential human sources like this guy. Why would anyone provide information if they can subsequently be charged for it being erroneous? This is like arresting someone for giving crimestoppers erroneous information.

Knowing how the DOJ has been Biden's weapon, if anything comes of this to implicate Biden, it will be used as leverage to have him drop out of the presidential race.
