If you're going to have Divisions there is ZERO REASON to have classes. PERIOD. Consolidate the 5 classes to 4 since you have 4 Divisions. This really isn't that difficult.

That district is hard as hell so…

Nonselect I is insane… we just made the cut to host with a power rating that would make us state contenders in other divisions (and that’s with their playing up points counted)

An argument could be made that Nonselect D1 should be 32 teams. There are years where the team that is 29-30 is still pretty solid.

19 wins is an insane amount to miss the playoffs with. Any other division you are a first round host with that amount.

Ehhh I'd go with 28. The top 4 deserve a bye. Top 8 getting a bye is too much imo. It's still a 32 team bracket, just 8 byes so 24 make it. It would be very easy to make it 28 with 4 byes and roll.

1st year coach and starting 5 sophomores might be part of the reason for an easier non- district schedule. Make no doubt about it that when those sophomores are seniors they will be making some noise in district.

Hell if they don't want to fix the classification system let's at least fix the power rankings systems.....there's a certain LP school out there in 5A that played cupcake after cupcake out of district but because they get a couple district wins back their way into playoffs. System is broken.....
It's better than the 80s where 3 teams that were ranked in the top 10 and were all 9-1 missed the playoffs.

anyone here have any information on Warren Easton? Not looking for specific scouting reports or anything like that, just any general information on what type of team they have, what to look for, etc... I am not familiar.

Also, anyone know where they will play their "host"/home playoff games?

TIA

Do they have 2 dudes on the mound? They’ll have to beat WM and Barbe in 2 days to win. They’re capable of it, but if they hold their ace for Barbe, WM might cut them. If they use him on WM, same might happen against Barbe. Barbe will likely be able to save their guy for the finals.

It’s not 16 vs 17 right? I would think it’s a 24 team bracket. So you would play the 8 seed.

Good luck convincing West Monroe and Barbe to play in a baseball tournament with Catholic, Jesuit and Rummel.

lol barbe baseball gives no shits about playing tough teams. They played img(requested them) flower mound, concordia and tons of other great teams

Laughable you think barbe or west Monroe are scared of anyone in baseball

Now football, yea that’s what keeps it split
